Lamella MMC offer organised V.I.P. trips to the Stora Enso manufacturing plant and timber mill in Austria Nr Vienna.

The visits are organised by Lamella MMC and Stora Enso for V.I.P guests ONLY genuinely interested in and intending to build in CLT ( Cross Laminated Timber )

Option 1

Day1

Early flight arriving in Vienna between 09.30-10.30
Travel to mill in Ybbs and Der Donau approx. 1.5/2 hours
Arrival at mill
Lunch & introduction to Stora Enso
Tour of the sawmill facility (process from raw log through to finished timber) 45minutes to 1 hour
Tour of the CLT mill (finished timber lamellas all the way through to CNC and truck loading) 1 hour
Discussion and AOB
Travel to hotel (dependent on Hotel 10-30 minutes)
Dinner and drinks at hotel

Day 2

Leisure time at hotel
Travel to airport in Vienna 1.5/2 hours
Late morning/early afternoon flights back to the UK

Late morning/lunchtime flight arriving in Vienna between 13.00-16.00
Travel to hotel approx. 1.5/2 hours

What you need.

Guests will need to provide and pay for their own flights and accommodation. However, Stora Enso will normally assist with hotel booking and achieve favourable rates. Stota Enso will take care of all transfers in Austria, to and from the airport. Stora Enso also graciously provide a welcome dinner on the day of arrival.

Contact Lamella MMC about your visit and provide contact details and information for all the attendees in your group. You will need to provide name, job titles, and the business or organisations they will be representing.

Flights

Flights are available out of all major airports. Heathrow flights are reliable, frequent and allow best flexibility with time. Wizz Air out of Gatwick is a easy option or Ryanair out of Stansted.

Flights are to Vienna. 2 h 15m – Flights prices can range from £30 to £160 Return

Transfer Time

Roughly 2 hours in each way. Collection from Vienna and return after your visit.

These hotels all book up fast so occasionally we return to Vienna for the evening and stay there.

Hotel Schachner. Amazing views above the Danube, Spa facilities, pool, roof top bar (30 minutes from mill)

The hotel Schachner is a very nice Spa Hotel close to the Stora Enso timber mill and manufacturing plant. Prices can vary throughout the year but Stora Enso will often get you a good rate and they will also assist with your reservation. On the day of arrival you will be treated to an evening meal curtesy of our hosts Stora Enso.
